Over the past 40 years Dr. Keith J. Karren has emerged as an award-winning educator, conference director, and author. He has taught thousands of students in the Health Sciences and is known in student circles as “Dr. Energy.” Dr. Karren is a Health Scientist, and specializes in Health Behavior Change, Psychoneuroimmunology (Mind/Body/Spirit health), Prehospital Emergency Care and all aspects of high level health and wellness. Dr. Karren’s new area of interest and specialization is “Don’t Retire, Refire” or how to make the second half of life the best half.
Dr. Karren has been presented with numerous teaching awards including his University’s “Excellence in Teaching” award. He has co-created and directed two award-winning National Conferences: The Psychobiology of Health and Healing (14 years), and The Prehospital Emergency Care and Crisis Intervention Conference (31 years).
Dr. Karren is listed in the International Authors and Writers Who’s Who, and is the author and co-author of 22 books including Mind/Body Health, To Your Health, Prehospital Emergency Care, and The Will to Win.
Dr. Karren has made numerous presentations in the USA and Canada.
Keith believes in and practices a healthy, balanced lifestyle. He is an avid exerciser, family man (married 41 years and 5 children), active in church and community service, and loves to compete in equestrian competition. He is blessed with a great zest for life and high energy levels, combined with a love of people and ultimate health.
